VMware VCF Specialist with Windows Server Support Skills- Proven experience supporting VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022).
- Expertise in virtualisation technologies, including vSphere, vSAN, HCX and SDDC management.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, storage solutions, and security principles.
- Experience with PowerShell and automation tools for system administration and management.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex infrastructure issues.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Relevant certifications (such as VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
- Maintain VMware infrastructure to support business requirements.
- Assist with the migration of virtual machines from legacy VMware environments to new VCF infrastructure using HCX.
- Provide advanced support for Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor, analyse, and resolve performance issues across both virtual and physical server landscapes.
- Manage lifecycle operations within VCF, including upgrades, expansions, and integration with existing infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions for virtualised and Windows Server environments.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of VCF with other enterprise systems and platforms.
- Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for operational transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain compliance with security policies and industry best practices within both VMware and Windows Server domains.
- Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and resource optimisation activities.
- Respond to and resolve escalated technical support requests, providing expert guidance and resolution.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end VCF migration projects across enterprise environments.
- Assess existing infrastructure and create detailed project plans.
- Lead migration activities, including workload transition, data.
