RMS Trade Processing is a strategic platform acting as the primary record for financial products across the Bank, with a strong focus on complex OTC derivatives. It supports the full trade lifecycle — from initial booking and enrichment through amendments, allocations, and lifecycle events (such as roll, unwind, exercise, and expiry), to clearing, settlement, and downstream risk reporting — ensuring consistent and reliable trade representation across front, middle, and back office systems.

As the RMS platform continues to expand its coverage of supported commodity products and trading flows, we are looking for a Lead Java Engineer to strengthen our experienced and dynamic team. Our technology stack includes Java, Spring, Kafka, Oracle Database, and React, offering opportunities to work across both backend and frontend components of a business critical system.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Produce functional specifications in collaboration with business partners
  • Work closely with developers and QA staff in interpreting requirements and resolving issues
  • Work in an agile development SLDC by focusing on the highest priorities
  • Product release installation instructions, and run-books

Your skills and experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in financial systems development
  • Strong analytical skills, Excellent communication skills (written/verbal)
  • Ability to produce high-quality requirements documents
  • SQL experience, programming experience a plus
  • Knowledge of trading systems, knowledge of FX and Commodity products
