Responsibilities
- Provide Basic Mechatronics Services – maintaining the robotic fleet’s health and maintenance.
- Perform root cause analysis / troubleshooting to resolve software and/or robotics breaks.
- Actively communicate root cause analysis findings to engineers for improvement.
- Ticketing system assignment/distribution.
- Ticket resolution escalations as needed.
- Debug issues to ensure robots can operate as instructed.
- Create and maintain documentation.
- Develop and assess workflows for tracking down solutions to unknown problems.
- Independently manage workflows to ensure appropriate steps are taken to resolve robot hardware/software issues.
- Make necessary changes in client's code repository by creating local changes, and submitting and reviewing CLs.
- Assess the current state of the code base and make recommendations on resolving issues.
- Use best judgment within scope of proper Robotics at client protocol.
- Keep fleet status up to date to match hardware configurations, including checking in and out robots, reassigning statuses appropriately, assigning pertinent notes to robots, and editing core robot data.
- Keep track of ongoing robot movements and ensure that all applicable notes are updated/amended.
- Create/develop/implement training/onboarding documentation.
- Provide guidance on an ongoing basis to ensure that fleet management documentation is kept up to date.
- Hold Monthly Business Reviews.
- Provide quarterly updates (by email, deck or meeting) about overall maintenance and accomplishments, including but not limited to performance relative to SLAs and SLOs and areas of improvement.
- Identify and implement additional metrics/KPIs where applicable, as agreed by the parties.
