Job Summary: An End-User Computing (EUC) Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, and mobile systems. The role ensures seamless functioning of hardware, software, and applications while delivering prompt resolution of user issues within defined SLAs. The engineer works closely with IT teams to maintain system performance, enhance user experience, and provide high-quality support, including assistance to key stakeholders when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-user computing devices, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components of end-user computing systems.
- Respond to and resolve help desk requests and incidents within agreed SLAs.
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues related to operating systems, applications, networking, and security.
- Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to ensure timely resolution of escalated issues.
- Create and maintain documentation related to EUC configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and updates as required.
- Support and administer productivity applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, email clients, and collaboration tools.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improving end-user experience and operational efficiency.
- Provide VVIP support to key customers.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an EUC Support Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and other directory services.
- Familiarity with desktop virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops).
- Hands-on experience with endpoint security solutions and tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with end-users at all levels.
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
