We are seeking an experienced Senior Reporting SME with strong expertise as a Business Objects Senior Developer, specializing in Universe design, advanced SQL development, and enterprise reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will deliver scalable reporting frameworks and ensure data consistency, lineage documentation, and governance across reporting platforms.
Reporting & Business Objects Development
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting solutions using SAP Business Objects (BO).
- Create and optimize Web Intelligence (WebI), Crystal Reports, and BO dashboards.
- Translate business requirements into efficient reporting solutions.
- Ensure reports are accurate, performant, and aligned with business KPIs.
Universe Design & Data Modeling
- Design, build, and maintain Business Objects Universes (UNV/UNX).
- Define joins, contexts, hierarchies, and objects for optimal query performance.
- Apply best practices for semantic layer design and data abstraction.
- Ensure universes are reusable and scalable.
SQL Development & Optimization
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries.
- Ensure high performance with large datasets.
- Perform query tuning and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
Report Lineage & Documentation
- Maintain end-to-end report lineage documentation.
- Document data source to report mapping, transformations, and dependencies.
- Ensure traceability and governance compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of reporting and BI experience.
- Strong SAP Business Objects expertise (WebI, Universe Design, CMC).
- Advanced SQL skills.
- Experience in enterprise reporting and lineage documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GCP Cloud is a plus.
