Role Description
Part of the TDI - End User Computing Division, the Devices and Workplace (D&W) - The Meeting Room Team provides platforms and expert services to all client Employees. Platforms include Cisco Conferencing solutions, Microsoft Teams Rooms, as well as Digital Streaming services.
The Meeting Room Solutions Team that you will be part of is responsible for the design, architecture, engineering, testing and engineering support of all Unified Communications channels to include our meeting room conferencing solutions, video on demand, IPTV, and digital signage.
You are a well-motivated engineer with 5+ years of experience, and you will join a global team of other expert individuals that collectively design, develop, and deliver significant components of the Meeting Rooms solutions.
Taking this role, an engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure
Key Responsibilities
- Design real time communication solutions that meet the business, security and technical requirements of the Bank. Utilizing a best-practice approach to ensure designs are fit for purpose
- Employ a range of techniques to analyse issues and evaluate possible solutions in a timely manner
- Constant review of engineering test plans to ensure quality and to improve engineering testing capabilities
- Deliver end to end first-class engineering solutions across a range of technology platforms
- Ensure that stable, reliable, and resilient solutions are deployed to the production environment
- Ensure a high-quality user experience to our employees by thoroughly testing and reviewing the solution throughout its lifecycle
- Adhere to the Banks SDLC processes and Agile principles to include managing JIRA stories, tasks and documentation
- Partner with Operations team to investigate platform related issues and provide solutions
- Work closely with EUC architects, business stakeholders, and security and compliance teams
- Work closely with Lead Architects from peer teams within the End User Compute group
- Maintain the Engineering DEV environments
- Adapt to new technologies, performing PoC evaluations to validate requirements are met and clearly documenting your findings and recommendations
Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- Solid understanding of the components and technologies that are utilized in small, medium and large conference rooms
- Solid understanding of Meeting Room systems and the underlying infrastructure such as Conference Room solutions, Digital Streaming and Unified Communications.
- Solid understanding of the infrastructure and platform components included but not limited to: Windows Server Systems and Desktops
- Adaptive to change, ready to follow the Agile principles when managing activities and tasks
- Able to work independently on tasks and provide clear, brief, comprehensive updates in Jira
- Experience with tooling across the SDLC
- Proactive way of working and ability to show initiative
- English written and verbal skills are mandatory as you will be part of a global team
- Self-motivated, ready to learn new technologies.
