Contract Duration: 6 Months

Role Purpose

A Windows Access Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) plays a pivotal role in ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient access to Windows-based systems across the enterprise. Your expertise is essential for maintaining operational integrity, preventing unauthorised access, and enabling smooth service delivery across the organisation.

What you’ll Do

  • Manage user / non-user accounts and access across Windows environments.
  • Administer privileged access controls and ensure secure permissions.
  • Follow SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance rules for Windows systems and regularly review and improve these processes.
  • Lead onboarding, access recertification, audit remediation, and automation efforts.
  • Provide consultancy on large/complex initiatives ensuring full service introduction governance.
  • Help shape how Windows access is managed as identity and access management continues to change.
  • Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments related to access provisioning.
  • Ensure alignment with least privilege principles and group security standards.
  • Monitor and maintain data integrity across our provisioning platforms.

What you’ll need

  • Consistent record of working in an IAM role with strong operational and ITIL experience.
  • Solid understanding of the identity management lifecycle, access governance and privileged access management.
  • Strong understanding of modern Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles.
  • Hands-on experience of tools like Active Directory, PowerShell, Entra, OIM and/or SailPoint, CyberArk, Quest Active Roles Server (QARS), Exchange Online.
  • Works well under pressure and has strong organising and delivery skills.
  • Experience collaborating in Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, using platforms like JIRA.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management with ability to handle tasks effectively.

It would be great if you also had

  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS).
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Python programming language.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Power Automate.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of GitHub for collaborative software development.
