Job Role: Integration Architect – MSS 6.1 program
Work Location: Sheffield, United Kingdom
Duration: Permanent Position
Role Summary: Responsible for designing end-to-end integration between MSS 6.1 and upstream/downstream systems (e.g., Salesforce, Mulesoft, FileNet, ADP), ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance with enterprise architecture standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design integration architecture between MSS 6.0 and all upstream/downstream systems, including real-time APIs, batch processes, and middleware (e.g., Mulesoft, JBOSS, MQ).
- Define interface specifications, data contracts, and error handling strategies for all key integration touchpoints.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise security, authentication (OAuth, MTLS), and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with the Bank’s IT team to assess existing integration patterns and propose modernization or optimization strategies.
- Guide the setup of integration environments, ensuring consistency with the gold standard MSS configuration.
- Support issue resolution and root cause analysis during integration phases across replicated environments.
- Provide architectural oversight for data flows, messaging queues, and synchronous/asynchronous interactions.
- Document integration blueprints, interface control documents (ICDs), and operational procedures.
Technical Skills:
- Enterprise Integration Patterns: Proficient in designing integration flows using APIs, message queues, ETL, and event-driven architectures.
- API Management & Middleware Expertise: Hands-on experience with Mulesoft, WebSphere MQ, JBOSS, and Axway or similar tools.
- System Design & Documentation: Ability to produce high-level architecture diagrams, interface specifications, and sequence flows.
- Knowledge of MSS or any other core banking software will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Data Migration and Enterprise Transformation methodologies.
- Security Protocols in Integration: Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, Mutual TLS, encryption, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PCI).
- Banking/Financial Services Domain Exposure: Understanding of core banking processes, upstream/downstream systems (e.g., Salesforce, ADP), and MSS-specific integrations.
Soft Skills:
- Strong stakeholder management: Ability to collaborate across client, vendor (Sopra), infra, and QA teams.
