Database Performance Engineer

Position Title : SYBASE L3 Administrator/ Engineer Relevant Experience: 8-15 Years No. of Positions: 1 Responsibilities and Duties: • Worked upon ASE 12.5 and above version and Replication Server 12.6 and above. • Worked on implementation of security controls for Sybase Servers and Instances • Experience of integrating ASE 16 with external key management systems for full transparent data encryption (TDE) • Should have excellent communication skills • Creation of Devices, Databases, Segments. • Backups of databases & logs. • User account management • Performing Recovery of suspect databases • Refresh of Databases in replication as well non replication environment. • Transaction log management. • Handling of jobs failures. • Troubleshooting Database error and performance Tuning. • Replication Server monitoring and troubleshooting. • Troubleshooting includes check for the replication configuration, threads down, stable device full, RSSD log full, stop and restart threads, repagent and repservers.
