We are looking for a hands-on Integration Technical Specialist who enjoys turning complex integration ideas into robust, working solutions. This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable translating conceptual architecture into high/low level design working with architects. You will work across SAP and non-SAP ecosystems, leverage iPaaS platforms (especially SAP Integration Suite, Workato), and help teams move from conceptual architecture to detailed High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs for TDA approvals by building and validating solutions yourself. You’ll play a key role in guiding delivery teams, enforcing integration standards, participating in all technical discussions for delivery and ensuring high-quality, scalable integration outcomes across the enterprise.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner closely with Enterprise Architects, technical leaders, and business stakeholders to translate conceptual and solution architectures into clear, actionable HLDs, LLDs and integration designs.
- Work across domains (applications, data, security, infrastructure) to design end-to-end integration solutions.
- Perform integration effort estimations using Function Point Analysis and other methods.
- Guide delivery teams on design decisions, patterns, and best practices, ensuring standards and guidelines are consistently applied.
- Act as a design authority, ensuring all integration design and delivery artifacts are complete, aligned, and ready for implementation.
- Design and review integrations using the Workato platform, enabling seamless data flow across systems such as SAP, ServiceNow, Salesforce, and API integrations.
- Develop and manage Workato recipes for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid integrations, including OPA agent setups.
- Recommend optimization, enforce best practices through review for recipes/design patterns for performance, scalability, resilience, and maintainability.
- Aware of Advanced Integration Capabilities including recipe functions, error handling, logging, monitoring, and event-driven integrations.
- Design, review, and govern integrations for SAP Integration Suite, enabling seamless data flow across SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Translate conceptual and solution architectures into detailed integration designs and HLDs, ensuring alignment with enterprise integration strategy and SAP best practices.
- Perform design reviews and provide hands-on recommendations to optimize integration patterns.
- Guide delivery teams on SAP Integration Suite capabilities, including message mapping, error handling, and API-led integration.
- Review and govern API designs, ensuring consistency, security, lifecycle management, and reusability.
- Ensure operational excellence by guiding teams on monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects, delivery teams, and business stakeholders to ensure all integration design and delivery artifacts are complete and aligned with architecture principles.
- Support estimation and planning activities for integration initiatives.
- Stay current with SAP Integration Suite roadmap and enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, run technical discussions and lead POCs / POTs.
- Review clear documentation for integration flows, recipes, and data mappings across SAP, Workato and other cloud integrations.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise integration development and design.
- 1–2+ years of hands-on Workato or similar experience.
- Strong experience integrating SAP and non-SAP systems using integration patterns.
- Solid understanding of iPaaS architecture, including MFT, EDA, ETL/ELT, Data transformation and orchestration techniques.
- Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, SQL, and scripting logic within Workato.
- Experience with platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, NetSuite, ServiceNow, Slack, Jira, and custom APIs.
- Good understanding of cloud-to-cloud, cloud-to-on-premise, and hybrid integration strategies.
- Proven problem-solving skills, strong communication ability, and comfort working with senior stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with docker containers.
- Experience with enterprise integration platforms such as SAP Integration Suite, Boomi, or other iPaaS tools.
- Exposure to event streaming platforms like Solace or Kafka.
