The Client is a global technology leader focused on innovation and excellence in robotics and automation. Our mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Job responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily setup, operation and basic maintenance of the Client robots and associated hardware. Contractor will perform routine maintenance checks of the existing hardware to ensure it complies with the operational capabilities of both the related, Client directed experiments and the environment the hardware is operating in. This is expected to occur both in a local environment where the Contractor is adjacent to the robot and in a remote environment where the operator is located at a different physical location than where the robot is situated.
  • Execute various manipulation tasks in a virtual reality environment with an aim in collecting clean datasets. All data will be clean and usable, fully representing manipulation tasks performed. Contractor, from time to time as needed, will collect data related to the operations of the robot and its performance of various assigned tasks (“Robot Data”) via a virtual reality headset which is utilized to control the operation of a robot either through navigation or manipulation of arms through the virtual representation of its surroundings. Contractor will retrieve and label datasets in accordance with Client standards and direction and save them in the appropriate, Client-assigned repositories. All Robot Data collected must be in accordance with established Client acceptance standards (which may vary over time as more Robot Data is collected and/or based on requirements and updates provided by the Client Project Manager).
  • Ensure robotic hardware and software configuration control. Contractor will run daily validation checks as specified by Client, and track and record any diversion from current configuration of both hardware and software between Robot Data collection sessions.
  • Troubleshoot and report any test results or issues relating to robotic hardware and software. Contractor will record and report any deviations on hardware or software to Client. Contractor Personnel will be able to recognize deviations from standard operating environments and performance that occur during the course of data collection.
  • Create and refine documentation and procedures. Contractor will read and understand all documentation related to and prior to providing the Services.

The Client is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
