Overview
In this hybrid role, you lead and execute as a senior delivery and engineering lead for a Lloyds Banking Group Consumer CIO platform. You own delivery plans, architectural direction, and engineering practices while remaining hands-on with Java full-stack work. You act as the technical face of HCLTech to the LBG platform leadership and drive the most challenging technical tasks within a pod of engineers. You shape solutions, balance risk and cost, and mentor the team to deliver customer value at scale.
Responsibilities
- Technical Delivery Management: plan, budget, risk, supplier and portfolio ownership; deliver outcomes across workstreams; forecast and report variances; drive policy/process improvements; manage risks and contingency plans; oversee suppliers and third-party consultants; improve ways of working through change programmes; evaluate options against business and technical criteria; maintain knowledge artifacts (ADRs, runbooks, onboarding material, decision logs)
- Senior Solution Architecture: lead architecture for complex products; maintain forward-looking architectural roadmap; assess implementation options and propose modern designs; align with architectural standards; capture technical debt/non-compliance transparently; provide technical leadership to others
