Tower Lead – Desk Side Services is responsible for operations support for all end points, partnering with global support resources.
The role includes providing onsite and remote assistance, managing cross‑platform compatibility, ensuring proper onboarding and offboarding of users, and maintaining system and asset health.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and remote assistance to identify and resolve issues on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, i OS, and Android platforms, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
- Coordinate with OEM vendors for warranty support of laptops and desktops.
- Ensure seamless integration and compatibility between Mac and Windows systems, applications, and services to facilitate efficient workflow.
- Participate in the New Hire induction program and set up new employees’ workstations in accordance with company procedures.
- Execute technical refresh of eligible devices, following organizational guidelines and forecasting refresh needs.
- Conduct user training sessions and create educational resources to improve users’ proficiency with systems and productivity tools.
- Manage and maintain Mac and Windows systems by performing software installations, updates, and configurations.
- Track and manage hardware and software assets, ensuring inventory accuracy, license compliance, and lifecycle management.
- Support rack, network, power, and equipment for servers, switches, access points, UPS units, and other hardware.
- Partner with MFP providers and engineering teams to support site print services.
- Collaborate with telecom engineering to support end‑user communications services such as Teams and meeting‑room infrastructure.
- Purchase new hardware, ensuring it meets organizational needs and budget forecasts.
- Plan and monitor new hire readiness, raising shipping requests for remote locations.
- Handle user offboarding, collecting equipment, providing return instructions, wiping, and processing asset disposal.
- Perform monthly asset reconciliation and cycle counts, extracting data from management tools.
- Respond to and resolve IT incidents reported by end users according to established processes.
- Support enterprise and business applications (e. g., JIRA, Confluence, Service Now, Azure AD, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365) and be willing to learn further application support.
- Demonstrate basic networking concepts such as IP addressing and network troubleshooting.
