Key Responsibilities

  • Data Volume Management Strategy across SAP ECC/S/4HANA environments.
  • Data Archiving & ILM Implementation.
  • System Performance Optimization.
  • SAP Landscape & S/4HANA Readiness.
  • Data Aging & Housekeeping.
  • Monitoring & Reporting (generate reports on data growth trends, archiving progress, storage optimization benefits).
  • Compliance & Governance: ensure GDPR and other data privacy compliance, define retention rules, perform audits and document archiving processes.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: work with functional teams (FI, MM, SD, HR); coordinate with BASIS, security, and infrastructure teams; engage business users to validate archiving and retention requirements.
  • Administer the ERP system in a production environment, ensuring optimal performance and availability through effective configuration and maintenance.
  • Monitor and assess the impact of new software releases, support packs, and kernel upgrades on the ERP application and users, facilitating seamless transitions.
  • Manage database optimization and perform backup and recovery tasks using Oracle Database and SQL Server, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Conduct troubleshooting at both ERP and database levels, employing analytical skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Train team members on ERP functionalities and best practices, fostering knowledge transfer and enhancing team capabilities.

Skill Requirements

  • Expertise in ERP data management with a solid understanding of ERP systems and their functionalities.
  • Proficiency in database management and optimization techniques, particularly with Oracle Database and SQL Server.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for ERP applications and associated databases.
  • Excellent communication and training abilities to effectively convey complex information to team members.
  • Strong experience in SAP Data Archiving (SARA), SAP ILM configuration, DVM Work Center / Solution Manager.
  • Hands‑on experience with archiving objects across modules (HR, FI, MM, SD, CRM, etc.).
  • Functional knowledge of key SAP modules: HR, Finance (FI/CO), Materials Management (MM), CRM, Sales & Distribution (SD).

Other Requirements

  • Relevant certifications such as SAP Certified Technology Associate or Oracle Certified Professional (optional but valuable).
