Senior Technical Lead – Embedded Systems responsible for leading system architecture, requirements engineering, model‑based development, integration, testing, and functional safety for off‑highway and automotive machinery. Based in City of London, United Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead systems architecture & concept development across electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, and operator‑interaction domains.
- Drive functional decomposition, allocation of behaviours across ECUs, sensors, actuators, and subsystems.
- Develop full‑machine behavioural models (plant and control interaction) with MATLAB/Simulink or SysML and guide model‑based control software.
- Define end‑to‑end requirements flow‑down using JAMA; ensure traceability across software, hardware, mechanical domains.
- Define system‑level requirements, interface specifications, and operational scenarios for machine features and safety functions.
- Define integration strategies using SIL, HIL, bench tests; diagnose issues with CAN tools and structured problem‑solving.
- Develop system safety concepts and functional safety architectures per ISO 13849, ISO 19014, ISO 25119, ISO 26262.
- Mentor teams on safety‑related design principles and validation practices.
- Provide technical leadership across electrical, software, systems, hydraulic, and mechanical teams; lead design reviews and promote best practices for MBSE and architecture governance.

- Strong proficiency in model‑based development using MATLAB/Simulink or SysML.
- Hands‑on experience with requirements management tools such as JAMA and issue‑tracking tools like JIRA.
- Proficient with CAN tools (e.g., CANalyzer, CANoe) and logging/diagnostic workflows.
