Electrical Engineer for Installation and Commissioning to join a leading provider of communications, SCADA, and instrumentation solutions. The Installation and Commissioning Engineer will oversee the full lifecycle delivery of technical solutions, ensuring they meet both compliance and quality standards. As an I&C Engineer you must be able to work independently or as part of a team. This role is suited for a qualified electrician or instrument technician with strong technical competence, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset. Candidates should have a genuine enthusiasm for SCADA, telemetry, instrumentation, and communication technologies, as well as the ability to work methodically within time constraints. Key Responsibilities: The Installation and Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the following: Technical Installation and Commissioning: * Survey, install, commission, and support site-based control systems and equipment for key clients. * Lead commissioning of assigned work packages or projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. * Support project documentation and reporting within agreed timeframes. * Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including client operations teams, to ensure seamless system integration. * Work within pre-defined design, equipment configurations, and templates. Standards and Compliance: * Adhere to safety regulations while carrying out installation and commissioning tasks on client sites. * Ensure compliance with quality standards and industry best practices. * Maintain professional communication with clients, providing regular progress updates to the Project Manager. Essential Experience and Qualifications * Proven experience of delivering solutions in the utility sector, ideally within the Water Industry (but not essential). * Electrical qualifications: BTEC, NVQ3, or HNC/HND, with 18th Edition (BS7671) certification. * Strong background in engineering control systems/automation (MEICA/ICA experience preferred). * Proven experience in the installation and commissioning of SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, and HMIs. * Familiarity with configuration and testing of manufacturers' equipment, including collaboration with remote SMEs. * Understanding of electrical wiring, control panel wiring, and electrical installations. * Ability to interpret technical documentation and provide clear technical updates.
