Join our Manchester EL/PL team
We’re looking for a litigation executive, legal executive or solicitor to join our employer’s liability and public liability (EL/PL) team in Manchester.
You’ll be part of a friendly, sociable and incredibly supportive team, with opportunities to develop your business development skills and progress your career. You’ll enjoy the benefits of working from home through our agile working arrangements, alongside our bright, modern Manchester office for your days in (currently 2 days a week).
What you’ll do
You’ll handle pre- and post-litigation EL/PL personal injury cases, managing between 100 and 125 files at any one time.
Casework
- Draft witness statements and letters of instruction
- Review medical reports
- Issue court proceedings
- Negotiate settlements in writing
- Liaise with and report to insurers
- Carry out research using internal resources
Clients
- Keep in regular touch with clients to keep communication and workflow moving
Case management
- Work to court deadlines
- Make sure limitation dates are met
- Use our in-house case management systems
- Keep up to date with regulatory changes
What you’ll bring
- Experience as a litigation executive, legal executive or solicitor in personal injury
- Experience handling EL/PL cases before and after litigation
- The ability to manage a caseload of 100–125 files
