We are seeking 3 experienced and compassionate Reablement Workers to provide temporary cover for existing vacancies while permanent recruitment is underway. These placements will support adults across Enfield to regain independence and confidence in their own homes following illness, injury, or hospital discharge. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team focused on enabling positive outcomes and promoting independent living.
As a Reablement Worker, you will support adults for up to 6 weeks in their own homes, helping them regain daily living skills and work towards their baseline level of independence. This is not a long-term care role; the service is designed to empower individuals and reduce ongoing dependency on care services. You will work alongside Occupational Therapists, Assistant Occupational Therapists, and wider health and social care professionals to deliver person-centred support.
Duties may include:
- Supporting with personal care
- Assisting with daily living activities
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Following reablement plans and goals
- Recording and reporting progress
- Responding flexibly to changing service needs
Available Clusters & Rotas:
- Cluster 1: 20 hours over a 2-week rota
Week 1: Monday, Saturday & Sunday
Week 2: Tuesday & Friday
Shift times: 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm - Cluster 2: 36 hours over a 2-week rota
Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
Shift times: 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm - Cluster 3: 8 hours per week
Week 1: Monday & Thursday
Week 2: Tuesday & Friday
Shift times: 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Additional hours may be available to cover:
- Annual leave
- Training
- Sickness absence
Requirements
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting adults in their own homes
- Experience with personal care and daily living support
- Full UK driving licence
- Access to a car or suitable vehicle for travel across Enfield
- Flexible and responsive approach to service delivery
- Understanding of reablement and promoting independence
Desirable:
- Care Certificate Level 2
- NVQ/QCF in Care (or equivalent)
