We’re looking for a Surgical Care Practitioner to join our theatre team at The London Bridge Hospital, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. Working across The London Bridge Hospital and Private Care at Guy’s, you’ll be part of one of the UK’s most advanced robotic surgery programmes. This is an opportunity to work in state of the art theatres that support complex procedures across urology, gynaecology, thoracic, colorectal and upper gastrointestinal surgery. With three Da Vinci Surgical Systems, access to a Da Vinci Single Port system, and almost 6,000 robotic procedures completed, you’ll be joining a team that continues to shape the future of surgical care.
As a Surgical Care Practitioner within our robotics service, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patients undergoing complex robotic procedures. Working alongside highly experienced surgeons and multidisciplinary colleagues, you’ll contribute to outstanding clinical outcomes while developing your expertise with some of the most advanced surgical technology available. This role offers the unique opportunity to work across both of our London Bridge sites, providing exposure to a broad range of specialties, surgical techniques and clinical teams. What you’ll do:
- Assist surgeons during complex robotic procedures across multiple specialties
- Support the safe and effective use of Da Vinci robotic surgical systems within theatre
- Provide expert clinical care throughout the patient surgical pathway
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across both London Bridge sites
- Maintain accurate clinical records, competency requirements and professional logbooks
What you’ll bring:
- Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner
- MSc, PG Cert or PG Dip in Surgical Care Practice
- Demonstrable experience with the Da Vinci Surgical Robotics System
- Current registration as a healthcare professional, such as a Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
- Experience working as a qualified Surgical Care Practitioner with a complete and up to date logbook
