Role: Nursery Nurse

Location: The Portland Hospital for Women & Children, London

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week between Monday-Sunday

Shifts: 13 long days per month (Long days, nights and weekends)

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive dependent on experience plus benefits

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Nursery Nurse to join the maternity service at The Portland Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC, and the UK’s only fully private maternity hospital in the UK.

Working alongside Midwives and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality newborn care within the postnatal ward, supporting babies and their families during the early days of parenthood. You will play an important role in delivering a safe, compassionate and family-centred service while providing guidance and reassurance to new parents.

You’ll join a collaborative and supportive team committed to delivering exceptional care and outstanding patient experiences. What you’ll bring:

  • NNEB, Btec Diploma in Nursery Nursing or Level 3 NVQ equivalent

  • Previous experience as a maternity support worker and/or nursery nurse in a hospital maternity unit (essential)

  • Basic Adult and Newborn Life Support

  • Understanding of Safeguarding issues
