We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join our Medical & Surgical Ward team at The Lister Hospital.
As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to a diverse caseload of medical and surgical patients. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating care while ensuring patients receive the highest standards of clinical excellence throughout their hospital journey.

What you'll do:

Deliver safe, effective and evidence-based nursing care to medical and surgical patients.

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care programmes.

Monitor patient progress and elevate concerns appropriately.

Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and NMC standards.

Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records.

Collaborate effectively with consultants, allied health professionals and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.

Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safeguarding and clinical governance standards.

Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and service development activities.

Act as a patient advocate, ensuring care is delivered with dignity, respect and compassion.
What You'll Bring

Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.

Must have previous experience in a surgical ward.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organisational and clinical decision-making abilities.
