Sister/Charge Nurse - Urgent Care Centre

Location: London, The Princess Grace Hospital

Full time:37.5 hoursper week

Shift times: Monday – Sunday; 8am-8pm or 10am-10pm

Permanent contract

Salary: Competitive dependent on Experience

We’relooking for aSister/Charge Nurse to join our Urgent Care Centre at the Princess Grace Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK.

As aSister/Charge Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing patient experiences and delivering exceptional clinical and professional leadership to the team.

The Sister/Charge Nurse will be supporting anddeputisingfor the Department Manager on supervising daily operations, clinicalleadershipand management within the Urgent CareCentre;ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and experience. You will act as an expert practitioner, supporting the assessment, planning,implementationand evaluation of patient care while providing clinical guidance and leadership to the wider nursing team.

Acting as a role model, you will support staff development, oversee the smooth running of the department, and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team tomaintainexcellence in patient care whilst driving continuous improvement across the service.

The position provides mentorship and support to the team, serving as both a clinical expert and role model. You will ensure that the highest standards of care aremaintainedthrough rigorous monitoring of both personal and clinical team competence, implementing evidence-based practices, adherence to policy & guidelines, fostering development initiatives and deliveringhigh qualityservice to patients, theirfamiliesand other stakeholders.

The role requires active promotion of the Unit within Princess Grace Hospital,HCAand external referrers as well as participation in relevant forums to drive continuous improvement and service growth.

What you’ll bring:

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration

  • Minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience, with at least 3 years in a similar setting (Urgent Care, Accident & Emergency)

  • Specialitycertification relevant to Urgent Care; Strong triage,assessmentand clinical decision-making skills

  • Experience leading and developing nursing teams

  • Recognisedpost graduate emergency nursing course

  • Recognisedcourse in plastering techniques

  • Excellent communication andorganisationalskills
