Contract type: Bank- Hours Monday to Friday 09.00 -19.00
Pay: Bank hourly rate £29.45 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Specialist Dietitian to join our Bank at The Harborne Hospital, Birmingham.

We are seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) who has expert skills and knowledge in a highly specialist field of practice and may be working with an extended scope.

As the clinical specialist will represent a clinical area as a service line specialist with a high level of experience. You will be involved with strategic planning and service delivery and advocate for resources to deliver effective high-quality nutritional care. You should have extensive clinical expertise and leadership skills, practicing according to best evidence with involvement in specialist networks and groups.

You should be qualified or currently training in a postgraduate field of advanced clinical practice.

This is a clinical role with a highly specialist workload and accountability for clinical leadership.

You will deputise for the Lead Dietitian when required. Depending on clinical need there may be a requirement for cover at other HCA sites

At The Harborne Hospital we have a very diverse patient caseload supporting people with craniotomy's, prolonged intubation, tracheostomy, Cervical spine surgeries.

The Therapies department is an ever growing team currently consisting of 2 full time physios and 1 part time dietitian. We are supported by bank Physio's and Dietitians as well as OT's and SLT's.

It is likely that opportunities for permanent positions will become available as volumes of patients increase. This would enable potential for opportunities for further growth and development with support provided from our specialist SLT's at London sites.
