We are looking for a Senior Radiographer to join our MRI and CT team at The London Bridge Hospital, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC. The London Bridge Hospital campus in South East London encompasses an outpatients and diagnostic centre in The Shard; the large world-class hospital based at the Tooley Street site; Private Care at Guys, which is on the top four floors of Guys Hospital Cancer Centre; and outpatient and diagnostic centres across the City and Canary Wharf. The MRI department consists of eight magnets - 3x 3.0T and 5x 1.5T including the latest flagship models from Siemens. Our team of highly skilled radiographers work with leading sub-speciality consultant radiologists to deliver a five-star patient experience in world class facilities. The department can deliver a wide range of exams from relatively routine MSK to extremely complex Cardiac scans.
As a Grade 6 Senior Radiographer in both MRI and CT, you will provide a high level of customer-focused service to our patients and service users through high quality diagnostic radiography whilst remaining flexible to the needs of the department, working cohesively in both the CT and MRI teams.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and effective radiology service
- Work closely with the Radiologists and Consultants in setting up policies and protocols for all imaging and patient pathways
- Identify improvements on an ongoing basis and oversee the implementation of such improvements as agreed with the line manager
- Assist the day to day running of the imaging service
- Assist with patient bookings and administrative duties where necessary, ensuring verified radiologist reports are delivered in a timely manner
- Assist with staff orientation and training
- Participate in the On-Call rota
What you will bring:
- HCPC registered
- MRI and CT experience is a must
- UK experience as a Radiographer would be preferable
- Extensive post qualification experience
- Understanding of clinical governance procedures
- Cardiac experience in MRI and CT would be advantageous
