About the position:
Reporting to the Director of Employee Relations, the Senior Employee Relations Partner will partner stakeholders and support colleagues across the business. As an excellent coach, you will use these skills, alongside your strong employee relations and HR experience to deliver high quality, proactive case management and support for all employee relations matters.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver a high quality, pragmatic and professional ER advisory service to managers and HR colleagues, providing sound and professional advice and guidance to line managers for employee relations cases.
- Coaching and supporting managers with people matters, you'll be readily available when you're needed providing first line support.
- Having end to end ownership and management of capability, disciplinary and grievance issues.
- Attending capability, disciplinary, grievances, absence management hearings and tribunals as required, including preparation and support with all written correspondence.
- Identifying trends and issues as soon as these are apparent and proposing solutions.
- Manage complex settlement agreements.
Skills and experience:
- Member of the CIPD (preferred).
- Expert knowledge of Employee Relations.
- Strong communication skills and able to influence diplomatically and effectively at different levels.
- Experience in coaching line managers in people matters.
- Experience of using analytical skills to solve problems and improve HR policy and processes.
- Ability to present at all levels; verbally, in writing and in presentations.
- Strong Negotiation skills.
- Experience of working/partnering with lawyers around litigation.
