The Medical Physics Department at the Harley Street Clinic is seeking a full-time Senior Dosimetrist. Applicants must have a high level of experience in Varian RapidArc radiotherapy planning, extensive Breast planning experience, and must have HCPC registration or be on the Register of Clinical Technologists.

The Dosimetry team at HSC is responsible for planning and checking all Radiotherapy plans (including SABR plans). We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced dosimetrist to join our existing team of ten physicists, one technologist, and six dosimetrists. The post holder will work in a multi-disciplinary team consisting of clinicians, radiotherapists, physicists, dosimetrists, nursing staff, and clerical staff.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and precision of all treatment planning procedures undertaken with an emphasis on highly conformal planning techniques such as RapidArc. The successful applicant will be required to assist in the development of protocols with close collaboration with physics staff and the radiotherapy team. You will be expected to provide support and training to junior staff members.

What you’ll bring:

  • High level planning experience with Varian RapidArc planning techniques for multiple sites is essential.
  • High level of experience with Eclipse treatment planning system and Aria patient management system, version 11 or above is essential.
  • Experience with IGRT and respiratory gating techniques.
  • Experience with multi-modality image fusion.
  • Experience with SABR.
