The London Bridge Hospital

Full-time, 40 hours per week

Monday – Sunday, shifts between the hours of 6.30AM – 8PM

Permanent

£29,037 per annum + excellent benefits

As the Porter you will provide a portering services to all patients, consultants and visitors to the hospital as required. This will include taking patients and visitors to their rooms, transferring patients between hospital departments, delivery of mail, equipment and materials and ensuring the safety and security of everyone within our hospital.

What you\’ll do:

  • Provide a portering/security service to include delivery/collection of mail, linen, drugs and other items as requested.
  • Explanation of room facilities to patients
  • To assist patients with luggage and to escort them to their rooms
  • To relieve reception staff for breaks
  • Collection and franking of post
  • Parking of consultants cars
  • To check gauges and storage of gas bottles, changing them as necessary
  • Part of hospital fire and safety team
  • Part of the crash team

What you\’ll bring:

  • Physically fit, able to lift heavy items when required
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
