Clinical Case Manager-Oncology & Haematology Pre Authorization London: Corporate Full time: 37.5 hours per week Shift times: Monday -Friday Shifts: 8-4 or 9-5 Permanent contract Salary: up to £50,000 per annum (DOE)
We are looking for a Clinical Case Manager, with Senior experience in Inpatient Bedside Nursing, Band 6 or above, within Oncology/Haematology to join the Case Management Team at HCA Healthcare UK. This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join us as a Clinical Case Manager.
As a Clinical Case Manager, you will obtain Pre-Authorization for all complex cases within the service line prior to admission (Chemotherapy, Radio-therapy, & Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)) but not limited to these treatments, and ensure the requests meet national standards and contractual requirements. Working with third party payers to promote the quality and cost effectiveness of patient care using clinical acumen, you will participate in the collaboration process, which assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates options and services to meet patient health needs.
What you will bring:
- Registered nurse with NMC Pin
- Extensive post qualification experience working in a hospital
- Experience of utilisation review and extensive discharge planning experience essential
- Oncology/Haematology knowledge/experience essential
- Experience as a Senior Staff Nurse/Band 6 or above essential
- Stakeholder management
- Previous exposure to the Private Medical Insurance Industry - Desirable
- Possess excellent communication, organisation and computer skills and have a dynamic approach to problem solving
- Possess ability to take initiative to work independently and within teams
