Colorectal Advance Nurse Practitioner/CNS

We are recruiting an experienced Colorectal ANP/CNS to join our major Colorectal Surgical Centre at The Princess Grace Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK.
The Princess Grace Hospital is a centre of excellence for the complex care of digestive diseases. This role involves providing bespoke, patient- and family-centred care from pre-assessment to aftercare, working closely with colorectal surgeons and collaborating with other HCA facilities.
As a senior team member, experience and knowledge in colorectal nursing are essential. The CNS/ANP supports cancer care by providing specialized support for colorectal cancer patients throughout their treatment, maintaining continuity of care, managing complex cases, and improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing a caseload of inpatients/clients, reviewing them daily.
- Requesting and interpreting investigatory results, including radiological investigations.
- Providing clinical and social support to patients and families.
- Establishing clear communication within the multidisciplinary team.
- Linking with healthcare teams to facilitate community care.
- Participating in the fortnightly Colorectal MDT meeting.
- Supporting the development of the colorectal cancer service and delivering a holistic, evidence-based nurse-led service.
The role requires autonomous working, effective time management, and a commitment to education and mentoring junior staff. The post-holder will support service evaluation and quality standards, ensuring seamless patient care within a multidisciplinary framework.
Qualifications and experience required:
- NMC registered nurse
- Experience with ERAS protocol
- Advanced Assessment Skills course
- Cancer Keyworker experience
- Extensive colorectal nursing experience
- Postgraduate module (level 6 or 7)
- Autonomous and team working skills
- Advanced communication skills
