We are looking for Internationally Qualified Scrub Theatre Practitioners with Cardiac experience to join our Theatre department at The Wellington Hospital and support our growing Cardiac Theatre Team and Service. The Wellington Hospital provides the highest level of care for patients who are looking for the best treatment in key areas of healthcare, including: Cardiac, Neurosurgery, Spinal surgery, orthopaedics, Gastroenterology and cancer care. This renowned private hospital has 13 Theatres across 3 buildings covering multiple surgical specialties.
Successful candidates will be part of a large theatre team of colleagues, experienced professionals. The Wellington Hospital has a successful track record of career progression, offering support and development to those seeking to aspire higher or widen their knowledge, including offering a Surgical First Assistant Course.
What you will do:
- Work in both Theatres and Cardiac Cath Labs.
- Preparing and maintaining the sterile field, assisting the surgical team, and ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative period.
- Monitor and manage the patient's condition during surgery, anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
- Providing high-quality care to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures.
- Ensure accurate documentation of perioperative care and any interventions performed.

What You will bring:
- Completed English Proficiency Level via IELTS, OET or Equivalent.
- Currently practicing a Registered Theatre Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner.
- Either OSCE ready for NMC or HCPC Registered.
- Experience scrubbing for Cardiac cases in an Operating Theatre.
- Effective communication and Interpersonal Skills.
