Maintenance Engineer - Electrical

The Wellington Hospital, London

Full-time, 40 hours per week

Shifts – Monday-Sunday, Day shift 08:00-16:30/Late Shift 11:00-19:30, on call 1 in 8 weeks and 1 in 4 late shifts

We’re looking for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join our Estates team based at The Wellington Hospital. This role is vital in providing a high standard of workmanship maintaining the existing structure and fabric of the building on a daily basis. What you'll do:

  • To provide a high standard of workmanship maintaining the existing electrical structure and fabric of the building on a daily basis
  • To work to a planned preventative maintenance system in accordance with a programme of work as directed by the Estates Manager / Chief Engineer.
  • To provide an emergency call out service outside normal working hours as part of the estates department shift rota
  • To be responsible for all tools, equipment and uniform provided by the company.
  • To undertake other duties as may be directed by the Estates Manager / Chief Engineer.

What you'll bring:

  • Training in relevant discipline e.g. City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • A good understanding of electrical systems
  • Relevant Qualifications (C&G or Equivalent to level 2 or level 3)
  • Previous experience of working in the electrical maintenance industry ideally within a hospital
