We have an exciting opportunity for a Ward Clerk to join the General Surgery Ward at The Wellington Hospital. Within this role, you will provide a reception/administrative service to support the unit to deliver a high quality service to clients. What you'll do:

  • Meet and greet patients, visitors, consultants and staff and deal with their enquiries in accordance with world class standards
  • Answer telephone enquiries, referring where appropriate
  • Make bookings for consultant appointments and clinical investigations
  • Register patients and enter charges on to computer system
  • Support and on some occasions work on other units as indicated in the absence of ward clerks
  • Provide administrative support to Unit Manager and Sisters
  • Take minutes, prepare minutes and agenda for meetings
