About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an MDT Coordinator to join our team at London Bridge Hospital. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment across the site and division to coordinate MDTs. Amongst other activities, you will be integral to ensuring the smooth coordination of the MDT meetings held within London Bridge Hospital by liaising with clinicians and their teams to finalize patient lists, preparing cases for presentation, attending meetings to ensure they run smoothly, and taking outcomes to provide to Chairs. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hrs per week Monday to Friday. Please note, this role requires flexibility to regularly include working patterns which include meetings before and after standard 9-5 office hours.

Key responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
- Produce a list of patients to be discussed at the meeting and distribute to all members prior to the meeting.
- Liaise with other organisations and MDTs in order to obtain relevant clinical information and/or imaging for patients due for discussion.
- Ensure MDT decisions for treatment are signed by the relevant meeting Chair and added in patients’ medical records.
- Record and monitor attendance at the MDT meeting.
- Action day-to-day issues ensuring resolution and escalating serious issues to the line manager.
- Communicate clearly, effectively, and appropriately with the multidisciplinary team.
- Administer and attend meetings and disseminate information as required, including preparing documentation and taking minutes for the MDT meetings.
- Ensure the timely and efficient transfer of information between organisations involved in the results pathway, adhering to agreed communication pathways and protocols.
Skills and Experience
For this role, experience in an admin/clerical role or similar is essential with proven ability to take accurate minutes during meetings. Strong Microsoft Office skills are required, and experience of healthcare software including Meditech, Mosaiq, ICCA, and Datix would be advantageous. Good communication skills to be able to work with multiple stakeholders across the Hospital. High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritise workloads. Understanding of MDT meetings and their importance within healthcare. Understanding of medical terminology. Ability to problem solve. Must understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
