About the Role

HC-One is looking for a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning and housekeeping. You’ll also need technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and ideally some IT skills. When you communicate with a resident or co‑worker, you’ll be genuinely considerate and kind.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure residents live in a place that’s proactively inspected and brilliantly maintained at all times.
  • Carry out audits and keep records up to date.
  • Perform tasks such as replacing taps or mixer valves, fitting extractor fans, repairing timber on a bedroom window, or putting up new wallpaper in dining rooms with a sense of kindness above anything else.

Safeguarding

You must be able to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues must attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice, report concerns, and report escalation if action is not taken.
