As a Senior Care Assistant at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will plan and implement care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence, and you will get to know our residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care and be a positive influence on the rest of the team. You may assist with activities such as using a walking frame, supporting residents at end of life, or communicating with a resident's family with kindness.
Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you will be involved in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication. One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the rest of the team.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care; influence the rest of the team; support residents with activities such as using a walking frame, assisting at end of life meals, and communicating with families with kindness.
- Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager; provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities; administer medication.
- Maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with the team.
- Ideally, a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care/SNVQ or equivalent; prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent; background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
- Brilliant positive energy and natural ability to get along with people; strong record keeping and time management; clear, kind communication with residents and co-workers.
