As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Responsibilities
- Plan and implement care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence.
- Get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
- Lead a team of Care Assistants, maintaining the highest standards of care and influencing the team.
- Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager by providing essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities.
- Administer medication and support residents at the end of life.
- Maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with the team.
Qualifications
- Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Social Care (or equivalent) and willingness to progress to Level 3.
- Background in person‑centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
- Strong positive energy, natural ability to get along with people, excellent record‑keeping and effective time management.
- Considerate and kind communication with residents and co‑workers.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge; able to recognise signs of abuse and report concerns.
