Senior Care Assistant

About The Role

This role is for nights, 33 hours per week.

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. You will help provide care across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, delivering personalized care plans and supporting residents and their families. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain high standards of care, and act as a positive influence on the team. Your duties may include helping residents with daily activities, supporting end-of-life care, and communicating with families. You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication. You will also maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with your team.

Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Social Care (S/NVQ) and be prepared to work toward Level 3 in Adult Social Care or equivalent, with a background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. What’s essential is your positive energy and ability to get along with people. You should understand good record keeping and be able to manage your time effectively, communicating with residents and co-workers with kindness and consideration.
