About the Role

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will work across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, supporting residents with dignity and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work flexible days and nights to support residents’ needs.
  • Plan and implement personalised care plans that give residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence.
  • Build relationships with residents and their families to ensure high‑quality, person‑centred care.
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants, maintaining the highest standards of care and influencing the rest of the team.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager with medication administration, physical and mental stimulation, and a range of social and recreational activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and build strong relationships with the rest of the team.
  • Recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect, attend safeguarding training and report any concerns, escalating if action is not taken.

Qualifications

  • Completed Level 2 Diploma (S/NVQ) in Adult Social Care or equivalent.
  • Prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Social Care.
  • Background in person‑centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
  • Positive energy, natural ability to get along with people and excellent record‑keeping skills.
  • Effective time‑management and considerate communication with residents and co‑workers.
