As a Relief Manager at HC-One, you’ll value kindness. You’ll work across our Dementia, Residential, and Specialist care homes, understanding that residents are people with their own stories. You’ll have a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful contribution by supporting homes when a Home Manager is absent or during recruitment. You’ll take on responsibility for running an entire home when needed, helping the team achieve performance targets while prioritising resident wellbeing, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Run an entire home when the Home Manager is absent or during recruitment, ensuring continuity of leadership.
  • Help the home meet performance targets with a focus on safety, quality of care, and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement actions to enhance resident wellbeing and service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is up to date and compliant with regulations.

Qualifications

  • S/NVQ4 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Experience as a care home supervisor or in a role involving support for vulnerable adults.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team to high standards of care.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Conscientious, accurate record-keeping and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Clear, kind communication with residents and co-workers.
