About the Role

In your role as an Activities Co‑ordinator at HC‑One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will plan and implement activities that delight residents across dementia, nursing, residential and specialist care homes. You will also support the Home Manager in organising essential fundraising events and encourage residents to socialise more effectively, based on their hobbies and interests.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities for residents.
  • Assist the Home Manager in organising fundraising events.
  • Encourage and facilitate resident socialisation and confidence building.
  • Collaborate with the care home team to involve volunteers and staff in activities.
  • Maintain activity records and outcome documentation.
  • Recognise signs of potential abuse, harm or neglect, and follow safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes.
  • Strong planning, organisational and IT skills.
  • Effective time‑management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills: considerate and kind when interacting with residents and colleagues.
  • Aware of safeguarding responsibilities and training in associated areas.
