You will help prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals loved by our residents. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene is essential. You might manage food supplies, demonstrate equipment use to new starters, or clean spills, always prioritizing Resident wellbeing.
We seek a Kitchen Assistant with some kitchen experience, ideally with an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or willingness to pursue one. Strong record-keeping, organizational skills, and the ability to follow recipes are crucial. You should communicate considerately and kindly with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional relevant training. You should be able to seek advice and escalate concerns appropriately.
