Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Responsibilities
- Help prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals loved by residents.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene.
- Manage food supplies and fridge/freezer temperatures.
- Assist in training new staff on equipment use.
- Ensure resident wellbeing is always prioritized.
Qualifications
HC-One is seeking a Kitchen Assistant with some kitchen experience. An NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation is preferred, or willingness to study for one. Strong record-keeping, organizational skills, and the ability to follow recipes are essential. Communication with residents and colleagues should be considerate and kind.
Additional Requirements
Ability to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and report concerns appropriately. Attendance at safeguarding training is mandatory, along with additional training as needed.
