In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a variety of activities that delight our Residents, helping the Home Manager to organise essential fundraising events.
- Foster confidence in Residents to socialise more effectively, develop new activity ideas based on their hobbies, and involve the care home team.
- Communicate with Residents and co‑workers with consideration and kindness.
- Recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect in its various forms, and know what to do if concerns arise.
- Attend safeguarding training appropriate to your role, undertake additional training in associated areas, and seek appropriate advice or report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
Qualifications
- Background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes.
- Excellent planning, organisational and IT skills, and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Positive energy and natural ability to get along with people.
- You should possess great communication skills, be considerate and kind when interacting with Residents or co‑workers.
