Part Time Weekend Role Saturday and Sunday 9-5, 16 hours a week.

In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. Responsibilities

  • Planning and implementing activities that will delight our Residents.
  • Helping the Home Manager to organise essential fundraising events.
  • Giving our Residents the confidence to socialise more effectively.
  • Working on new activity ideas based on Residents' hobbies.
  • Getting the rest of the care home team involved with a sense of kindness.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.

  • A background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes.
  • Brilliant, positive energy and natural ability to get along with people.
  • Great planning, organisational and IT skills.
  • Ability to manage your time effectively.
  • Considerate and kind communication with Residents and co-workers.
