About the Role

As Head of Service at HC‑One, you will put kindness first, ensuring residents receive nutritious meals and a caring environment across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist Care homes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and dessert items for residents.
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Monitor supply levels, fridge/freezer temperatures and maintain records.
  • Train new staff on equipment and procedures.
  • Communicate with residents and colleagues in a considerate manner.

Qualifications

  • Kitchen experience mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Act 1990, Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, RIDDOR, COSHH regulations.
  • Excellent record-keeping and organisational skills.
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately.
  • Excellent communication, kindness, and customer‑service orientation.
  • Full training will be provided.
