About The Role
Please note that this is a full-time role working 36 hours per week, with full flexibility required, including alternate weekend working.
As Head of Service at HC-One, you’ll value one thing above all: Kindness. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist Care homes. Your responsibilities include preparing and serving nutritious, healthy meals that residents will love, assisting with morning tea and dessert preparations, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. You will also be responsible for managing food supplies, fridge/freezer temperatures, training new starters on equipment, and ensuring a clean environment, always with resident well-being in mind.
We seek someone with kitchen experience who is familiar with The Food Safety Act 1990, The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, RIDDOR, and COSHH regulations. Strong record-keeping and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to follow recipes. When communicating with residents and colleagues, you should be considerate and kind — after all, it’s in your nature.
