About The Role
Please note that this is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, full flexibility is required.
As a Head Housekeeper at HC-One, youâll value one thing above all: kindness. It guides everything we do in our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Our Residents are individuals with their own stories. By joining us, youâll help create a safe, clean, and comfortable home where they feel respected and cared for.
Youâll Lead The Housekeeping Team To Keep Every Area Spotless. That Means Staying Organised, Setting High Standards, And Always Putting Residents First. Your Key Tasks Will Include:
- Managing the cleaning rota and daily schedules
- Leading by example and supporting your team
- Overseeing laundry for personal and shared items
- Ordering cleaning products and supplies
- Following and updating infection control procedures
- Keeping records and completing cleaning checks
- Ensuring safety and COSHH guidelines are met
Youâll plan ahead, but youâll also be ready to jump in when needed. No job will be too small if it helps keep our Residents safe and happy.
Weâre looking for someone with housekeeping experience and team leadership skills. Youâll need to be organised and aware of Health & Safety and infection control. Most of all, youâll be friendly, positive, and kind â in every conversation and every task.
Safeguarding is everyoneâs responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
