As a Care Home Manager at HC-One, you’ll value kindness above all. It touches every aspect of our Dementia, Residential, and Specialist care homes, and each person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them, with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
In this role, you will take responsibility for the well-being of our Residents, ensuring their emotional and social needs are met. You will lead, motivate, and mentor your team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the care home, developing, implementing, and evaluating individualised care plans for each Resident. You will also monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies, and legislation, promoting residents’ independence, choice, dignity, and respect while striving for continuous improvement.
The position offers the chance to lead the provision through effective leadership and home management. You’ll make sure we have the best people on-site, delivering a truly empathic service, championing Resident wellbeing, establishing a vision and development plan for the home, or carrying out quality assurance monitoring to exceed regulatory standards—all with a sense of kindness above all else.
We’re looking for a care-home-experienced manager with strong leadership skills and experience leading multidisciplinary teams and conducting risk assessments. You’ll also either hold a Registered Manager’s Award Level 4, Leadership and Management in Care Level 4/5, or be willing to study for one. Above all, you’ll communicate in a truly considerate and kind manner with residents and colleagues alike.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You must recognise signs of possible abuse, harm, or neglect in all its forms, know what to do if concerns arise, and be ready to seek appropriate advice and report, including escalation if action is not taken. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role.
At HC-One, kindness is more than a word; it means caring for people in the ways that matter most to them so they can lead their best possible life.
