About the Role
As an Activities Co‑ordinator at HC‑One, you will bring kindness to every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will plan and implement activities that delight residents, support fundraising events, encourage socialisation, develop new ideas based on hobbies and engage the care home team. You will also recognise signs of abuse or neglect, report concerns and seek appropriate advice.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver activities that engage residents.
- Assist the Home Manager with organising fundraising events.
- Encourage residents to build confidence for social interaction.
- Develop new activity ideas based on residents’ hobbies and interests.
- Co‑operate with the care home team to deliver a well rounded activity programme.
- Identify risks of abuse, harm or neglect and report any concerns in accordance with safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals, preferably in a care setting.
- Background in developing centre‑level activity programmes.
- Positive, energetic attitude with the ability to build rapport with residents and colleagues.
- Good planning, organisational and IT skills.
- Effective time‑management.
- Excellent communication skills and a considerate, kind approach to others.
