In your role as a Care Assistant at HC-One, you’ll value kindness above all. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell.

Right now, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant to join the team at our care home. Whether we’re providing long or short-term, convalescence, respite or palliative care, our focus is on providing the highest quality service at all times.

As a Care Assistant, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the physical and emotional well-being and social needs of our residents. This includes assisting with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and helping with meals.

You will deliver care that comes from the heart, ensuring residents’ dignity and individuality are preserved. You may help those with limited mobility, offer emotional support to distressed residents, or provide end-of-life care, always prioritizing their well-being.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are expected to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and seek advice or escalate concerns as needed.

At HC-One, kindness is more than a word; it is a core belief. Caring for people means caring about what matters most to them, supporting them to lead their best lives. We value five key qualities — Curious, Compassionate, Creative, Courageous, and Counted on — which embody the HC-One Way of providing outstanding care. We champion inclusivity and foster a workplace where everyone feels valued and can be themselves. Our diverse workforce helps us better serve our communities.

We are committed to supporting our staff’s professional and personal growth through career pathways, CPD, and postgraduate programs. HC-One offers opportunities for advancement into regional and national roles.

We provide full training and a wide range of benefits to support your well-being, including:

  • Great work-life balance
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications

  • Wagestream for flexible pay access
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • GP online service for you and your children under 16
  • Access to over 1600 high street discounts
  • Employee Assistance Programme for physical, mental, and financial support
